äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾

I am an intersex scholar-activist whose research, teaching, and activism are at the intersection of medical violence and feminist theories. After earning my bachelor’s degree in sociology at äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ in 2004, I went on to the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee where I received my master’s degree in sociology followed by the University of Illinois at Chicago for my PhD in sociology. Having studied and taught at various universities across the county, my love for äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ has only grown. When I was a first-generation college student at äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾, I didn’t quite realize how incredibly unique äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ Sociology was in terms of the faculty to student ratio, mentorship opportunities, and most importantly, the vibrant student community. I have no doubt that the äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ Sociology community played an important role in my evolution as an unapologetic intersex scholar-activist.
